THE LCF STORY
The LIFE Community Foundation started as a passion. A passion for helping others.
In 2018 Founder & Director, Liberty McArthur, started by making gallon size zip bags filled with hygiene items, water, snacks, socks and other needed items to give to the homeless community around Elk City. It then grew into providing intake services to Elk City churches to assist with utility bills and other needs. Liberty worked out of her home for a while, then was able to obtain an office area downtown Elk City.Â
Summer of 2019, LCF moved into the Community Care Center to work alongside Western Oklahoma Family Care Center in fighting the battle against poverty and homelessness.
A VISION
It is our vision for LCF to be able to provide the community with the tools needed to become self-sufficient & productive and to come together as a community to fight stigma, poverty, prejudice and homelessness.
